Celebrating Sustainability!

Virgin Carbon Heroes 2024 Feb

Our February business networking at the Virgin Money Store, Manchester was phenomenal, and we’d like to introduce our newest Carbon Hero.

We are delighted to award Rachel Morris and Cactus Energy our Carbon Hero award for the truly remarkable work they do installing bespoke, renewable energy solutions.
Their 655 Solar Panel installation at PING, Gainsborough, produces over 265kW of electricity and saves 117 tones of CO2 each year from entering the atmosphere.

Presenting the award was Stuart Cox of Plan Productions Print & Events. Stuart was the very first Carbon Hero award winner in 2019, and is now a Carbon Superhero, for their continued achievements in sustainability with their rooftop Solar Power plant producing so much energy they actually deliver energy into the National Grid every single day, as well as their significant Carbon Capture with their production materials too.

We would very much like to thank Robert Woodward of Tesla and his colleagues for taking the time to join us for this event, and sharing with us some of the exciting sustainable technologies that Tesla are leading the world in.

We would like to thank James Crawford – AI Strategy/Programme Lead for highlighting the benefits of using Artificial Intelligence to help your business explore and learn, update processes, update services and change your business. His expertise is leading the way in how businesses can utilise this incredible technology.

A huge thank you to John Sewell of Greenlight Computers, our sponsors since 2019, for sharing with us their vision of local businesses working together sustainably and highlighting their business leading expertise in IT Managed Services across the UK.
It’s thanks to Greenlight Computers that we have become one of the UK’s leading business networks.

Finally we would like to thank Jolene Lightfoot and her team at Virgin Money for looking after everyone, and for telling us about the benefits of being a Virgin Money customer, and how they help businesses with their financial wellbeing.

We looking forward to seeing our regular event host, Aaron Dean at our next business networking with ABode Hotels, Manchester in March. Link to register in the comments below.

Thanks Kyle Anthony for stepping in to host this event as Aaron was unable to join us due to unforeseen circumstances, and we absolutely must say a huge thank you to Jason Rhodes of Rhodon Films for stepping in and helping Kyle capture images of the event that we’ll be sharing more of soon.

Once again, thank you to everyone who joined us for this event and supporting what we do. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
