About MBH

Leaders in bringing businesses together

Who are we?

MBH is a community of businesses, charities and other organisations based in and around Manchester, Salford and surrounding areas. Our website will help you find information about all our members and connect with them directly.

We’re a thriving business community and with the current economic climate we want to make sure that our community keeps growing and and moving forward. By providing information about local organisations, we want to promote business to business relationships within the local area, and by keeping trade local we can reduce both cost and pollution as well as keeping the local economy healthy.

Our aim is to boost the visibility of our members and provide a really helpful source of information to users both locally and globally.

MBH Background

MBH started as an R&D project in 2018 with the goal of creating a community of businesses and other organisations keen to work with each other locally. Greenlight Computers Ltd have sponsored MBH from the outset as an environmental initiative aligned with the Net Zero econonmy. Each local trade deal reduces our region’s carbon footprint and avoids excessive travel, import and export.

Community manager Kyle Anthony joined in 2019 to steer MBH to it’s first goal of achieving 1000+ business members wanting to trade locally. Despite the difficulties presented by the pandemic, this goal was passed ahead of schedule in 2021.

The monthly MBH networking events have been a huge success, taking place in some exceptional venues and bringing together thousands of businesses in the first 3 years.

We also launched the prestigious North West Carbon Heroes award to recognise those businesses taking demonstrative action to reduce their carbon footprint.

Future Plans

Our membership is growing faster than we could have ever expected, we’ve reached well over 1000 business members, and with growth comes great new ideas and demands from our enthusiastic members, and we are listening!

We plan to launch exciting new portals on MBH regularly, and to grow the site into a ‘favourite’ for business people in and around Greater Manchester and those businesses planning to come to to the area.

We have a dedicated Manchester Events Hub, and Manchester Job Board – JIM (Jobs in Manchester), unique locations exclusively for events and jobs within the local area.

Connect MBH was launched recently to enable freelancers, consultants and executives to promote their services to our community.

So, visit our website regularly to see what plans we have to help local businesses and organisations in the future.

We’re award winning too!

We are so proud to be presented with the Industry Excellence Partnership award by The Manchester College for the second year running!
