My practice is focused on story-telling: creating work that weaves in the personal details of my client’s briefs with unexpected and exciting visual influences. All my work is designed and made in Manchester using British timber sourced from sustainably managed woodlands. The persistent themes in my work are strong geometric design, hand-worked textures, and honest solid wood construction that celebrates the use of hand work through carefully considered joinery and shaping. I aim to create playful, functional, and heirloom-quality pieces that are designed to last and to be loved. I trained at the internationally renowned Waters & Acland furniture school in the Lake District. I now split my time working at On The Brink Studio in Stockport and back at my home workshop in sunny Levenshulme.
