International Women’s Day
Yesterday we hosted our first ever International Women’s Day event and what an incredibly empowering and collaborative event it was!
Not only was it the first event we have done of this nature but it’s also the first time we have EVER completely sold out of tickets!
We are so incredibly grateful of all those that attended, connected, shared and inspired yesterday, both MBH regulars and complete newbies!
We had an excellent line up of inspiring women giving presentations…
Beckie Taylor – talking all things confidence and reminding us it’s ok to be different! She invited us into her professional and personal life and made the room really think about what confidence is to each individual and how to progress in life, both personally and professionally!
Celia Gaze – Owner of The Wellbeing Farm : B Corp Certified venue experience a lively and unique venue with bow tie wearing alpacas! She talked about her journey creating something from nothing and encouraged everyone to be unapologetically and authentically yourself, even if that means having a Star Wars themed wedding, or a sheep walk you down the isle!
Laura English from Prevent Breast Cancer. A charity close to a lot of people’s hearts. Laura discussed the importance of being familiar with your own body, and showed us the signs and symptoms of breast cancer as well as some of the fundraising events coming up this year!
It was brilliant to see so many fantastic, knowledgeable, confident and inspirational women all in one place, we hope to do another event like this in the future so keep a lookout!
We want to thank Meghan Williams for collaborating with us on this event and giving us the private dining room available at Piccolino Manchester and providing the best bacon rolls and pastries!
A massive thank you to our events manager Leah Bentley who makes all of these event happen!
Our next event it’s at Lloyds Bank on Market Street on the 20th March, get your tickets here.
