We’re excited to announce that Andy Livsey has joined the MBH team as our new Events and Community Manager, taking over from Leah, who has moved on after helping build MBH into the thriving network it is today.
For everyone who’s come to know and love our calendar of meetups, workshops and networking sessions, this is the start of an exciting new chapter, one where we’re keeping everything you love about MBH events while bringing in some fresh energy and new ideas.
Andy told us: “I’m really excited to be starting this new chapter with MBH. Leah has left big shoes to fill, but I can’t wait to get out there, meet our members, and help build on the fantastic community that’s already been created. There’s a lot to look forward to.”
Why Our Events Matter
Over the years, we’ve built MBH into a genuinely local, low-pressure space for small business owners, freelancers and professionals across Manchester to grow their networks. Whether it’s informal drinks or more structured sessions, our events exist to give our members a consistent place to build relationships, find collaborators, and stay connected to what’s happening across the city’s business scene.
With Andy now leading our events and community programme, you can expect that same warm, welcoming approach to continue, alongside whatever new ideas he brings to the calendar in the months ahead.
First Up: Open Networking at Slug & Lettuce Piccadilly
Andy’s first event with us is an Open Networking session, and it’s the perfect chance to come and meet him in person.
Details:
- Date: Wednesday 30th September 2026
- Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
- Venue: Slug & Lettuce Piccadilly, Westminster House, 11 Portland St, Manchester M1 3HU
We’ve kept the format relaxed, open networking rather than a fixed agenda, so it’s an easy first event if you haven’t been to one of ours before, and just as good a chance for our regulars to catch up.
